Fixes a Linux AppImage startup crash on newer Mesa/Wayland systems. The bundled Wayland client library lacked symbols required by the host EGL driver, causing WebKit to abort with EGL_BAD_PARAMETER or display a blank window.

    • AppImage and portable Linux desktop packages now use the system Wayland client library.
    • Linux packaging applies the correction automatically and CI checks both package formats.
    • Application and installer versions are updated to 0.1.1. Windows, Debian/Ubuntu, and headless server artifacts are rebuilt from the same source revision.

Linux builds target glibc 2.35 or newer. On systems without FUSE, launch the AppImage with --appimage-extract-and-run, or extract the portable desktop archive and run ExamLab.AppDir/AppRun.

See README.md for setup and launch instructions, SHA256SUMS for download integrity checks, and LICENSE / THIRD_PARTY.md for licensing information.

The Windows portable archive includes the WebView2 loader alongside the executable. When downloading the raw executable, keep WebView2Loader.dll in the same directory. The installer includes it automatically.

Validation: 29 Rust tests and 20 frontend tests passed; formatting and Clippy passed. Linux AppImage startup was checked in normal and FUSE-free modes, including rendered dashboard and system Wayland loading. Linux headless and Windows remote-mode startup, teacher login, and authenticated management requests passed; Windows smoke checks used Wine. Linux packages and the Windows installer payload were inspected.

ExamLab 0.1.0 provides isolated Linux coding workspaces through code-server on Windows and Linux hosts.

    • Configure editor settings, extensions, toolchains, starter projects, networking, timers, and VM resources.
    • Preserve student workspace disks and mirror student files to the host.
    • Use the desktop interface or start with --remote for browser management on port 4747 with a teacher access key.
    • QEMU downloads into the app's private data directory on first launch. Windows requires Windows Hypervisor Platform; Linux requires KVM and permission to access /dev/kvm.

Linux portable desktop builds require glibc 2.35 or newer. The headless server requires glibc 2.35 or newer and OpenSSL 3. Use HTTPS through a reverse proxy for internet-facing management. Remote management is shared between signed-in teachers; separate teacher accounts are not implemented.

See the attached README.md for launch instructions, SHA256SUMS for binary integrity checks, and LICENSE / THIRD_PARTY.md for licensing information.

Validation: 29 Rust tests and 20 frontend tests passed. Browser management, windowless Windows/Linux startup, and graceful Ctrl+C/SIGTERM shutdown were verified.
